Time or Kingdom Management?

You want how much for breakfast? Two eggs, bacon, fried potatoes, and coffee - $17.99. Ouch!

You want how much to park my car here for 1 hour? $21? Yikes!

How long do I have to wait to see a doctor? Three months, are you kidding me?

Do you want me to work longer hours with no pay? If I don't, I'll get fired?  ðŸ˜‘

"We need to spend more time together as a family!" With what time? I guess I don't need to sleep.

We can identify with these statements.  Something or someone is always trying to get our time and attention.

I don't think anyone will disagree with making God the top priority of our lives. It is a fundamental concept deeply rooted throughout the Bible.

Matthew 22:37-38, Jesus says, "Jesus replied, "'You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment." (NLT)

This underscores the idea that God should be our utmost concern and devotion.  But how?  Well, we do have some insight into that.

Matthew 6:33  Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. (NLT

Our struggles aren't so much about time management as it is about kingdom management.  You can seek the Kingdom of God or the little empires of this world that promise to deliver your dreams.   You can choose either one.

Matthew 6:24: "No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.

When you put God first, you begin to arrive at the right place and at the right time - all the time - for His blessings for your life and family.  That statement isn't about time; it's about priorities.

Let me illustrate this if I told you that on a specific day, at a particular time, there would be a man on a street corner with a million dollars. All you had to do was walk up to him and ask for it, and he would give it to you - tax-free. What would you do? Everything possible to be at the right place at the right time.

The little empires of this world promise too much, take too much, and give nothing back.  Oh, you see their "success"stories on social media.  But they don't show you the price tag they paid for it.  Newsflash - it wasn't worth it.

Take the time today to ask yourself.  Are my priorities lining up with God's?
